How Dive Radio uses your answers, what we plan to publish, and what stays private.

Why we collect answers

Tommy Geoco and Michael Riddering (Ridd) run this survey to understand design work, hiring and job searches. We use your answers to study patterns and share what we learn with the design community.

What we collect

We collect the answers you submit about your work, experience, location, job search, opportunities and pay. You can skip questions or choose not to answer. The survey does not ask for your name, employer or social profile.

If you choose to leave an email for the report, we store it separately from your answers, without a link between the records. We use it for the report notification, not newsletter or recruiting enrollment.

Optional written context is also stored separately for private review. It will not be included in the public dataset or sent to AI tools. Please leave out names, employers, contact details and anything else that could identify someone.

What we plan to publish

We plan to publish findings and downloadable datasets containing anonymized individual survey responses. Anyone will be able to download and analyse the published data.

Before publication, we will review the data for details that could identify someone. Removing names is not enough: a rare combination of location, experience, pay or dates can also be identifying. We will group, change or leave out those details, and exclude responses we cannot safely anonymize. Emails, private written context and internal record IDs will not be published.

Once an anonymized dataset is public, other people may keep and share copies. We cannot recall those copies or reliably find your response in data that no longer identifies you.

How we plan to use AI

We plan to use tools from OpenAI and Anthropic to help analyse patterns and draft summaries. We will anonymize the survey data before sending it to these tools. We will not send personal information, email addresses, private written context or internal record IDs.

We will review AI-assisted findings before publishing them. Providers handle the data they receive under their own terms and settings; we do not promise that they retain nothing. See OpenAI’s data controls and Anthropic’s data retention information.

What stays in your browser

Unsent answers stay in this tab while you move between the survey, report and privacy policy. Reloading or closing the tab clears those drafts.

After you try to save, the app keeps a random recovery key and save status in this tab’s session storage so it can check whether the save worked. It does not store your answers or email there. If that storage is blocked, recovery lasts only until you reload or close the tab.
